  14. I have a ZyXel 1496 external 14.4kb modem. It works fine. I really like 
  15. it. The instruction book that came with this modem is fairly big... 100 
  16. pages or more. It is filled with all kinds of stuff I don't understand; 
  17. and written in Japanese using English words. It don't work. I don't like 
  18. it!

  20. Can anybody recommend an instruction "White Paper" (book, article, or 
  21. what have you) that would help me understand how to upgrade it to a 
  22. 28.8kb modem?
